The beginning!

Its soon seasontimes and im stoked. Im still in Oslo though but only 5 days of working left and then im off to better times. Been snowing a lot here in oslo the past week but i cant ride yet and its sucks. Been at the physio and she gave me bad news, got an inflammation in my knees so i have to do some physio before i can ride, but i hope its gonna go quick so im fit for fight when im heading to France the december 17th. Two weeks there and then home to sweden for new years. After some celebrations me and Mary going to Breckenridge for two months.Vickie is already there with the UK gang and i have heard the house is sick. So i hope the riding is awesome too!

Fingers crossed for Lovisa aswell, she had a surgery on her shoulder this week so we all hope for a fast recovery so she can ride again really soon.

Hey!

Matilda here! I’m gonna tell u some of my plans for the winter..but first start with now.. So three month this summer I spent in Hawaii…doesn’t sound wrong ehh? It was awesome :) I worked as a volunteer, handing out food to homeless people, hanged around with kids that had it ruff home and of course surfed!

Now I’m home an studying to become a real-estate manager, it’s fun, but it’s not gonna be in the way from my snowboarding… I just stand on the board for the first time this weekend, at a railjam I helped arrange in my town :) Next time is gonna be at the boardtest weekend in Tandå yeahh Anyway my other plans is to do some stuff with DC, help arrange a Nikita camp and Nikita Chikita in Åre… And maybe go to Iran for a snowboard/mission trip! And of course compete some in Sweden and try to get some nice movieclip and pics… And then try to hang in at my school :)

Back on snow!

The snow is falling in the alps and a new winter season is on it's way. I decided to start early and went to Zermatt to get some riding done! You would think that a place like Zermatt is really expensive, but it turned out cheaper than Saas-fee (where we normally goes this time ofthe year) because the liftpass was cheaper. Zermatt turned out to be a great choice, a big and nice pipe, long pists, no queues and good quality snow. Zermatt is the highest ski area in Europe, 3800m, and you could really feel that when you where riding.

I had to take it easy though. I popped my shoulder in april and I just found out that I have to operate. I'm booked in on the 29th of November and it would be a disaster for my shoulder if I fell on it before the operation. At first I thought that my winter season was ruined but they are using a new technic on my shoulder and I can be back on my board after 6 weeks, which means I will be riding again in January. I just can't wait until we are all together again riding and filming for a new Dropin46 film.

The dropin 46 team movie are finally done. We are all waiting for the winter and the best thing to do then are watching some snowboardmovies. The Playground Jam

The Playground Jam took place in Chapelle, Avoriaz on the 3dr of April, an all girls slopestyle competition. Even though the weather wasn't amazing and the wind made it a bit difficult to hit the kickers it was a great day with awesome atmosphere and lots of fun. Victoria finished 4th and Lina 6th Wohoo..

Nikita Chikita Slopestyle Kläppen/Sweden

This weekend, It was time for the Nikita Chikita Slopestyle in Sweden!!!!!
The weather was so wonderful SUN SUN SUN!!!!!!

All the girls from Sweden were there and It was a pleasure to see a very high level on the girls during the hole contest! 7'th, 540's, 360's and a lot of tricks on the rails AMAZING AND FUN!

Everybody was stoked and happy during the day.
We had a 30 minutes session on the black kickers line and then 30 minutes session on the black rails line.

We had a wonderfull evening with the Nikita crew an had dinner at Matildas restaurant!!!

Kitoko Style 2010

Me and Lina went to the coolest event ever, a small jib session in Chatel. Two piperats in a slopestyle comp, we had lots of fun. It was a typical French jam session, chilled out with a BBQ in the end. We both won an amazing price, a ride on the crazy Tyrolien in Chatel this summer, yihaa!!

TTR1 Piststilen by Rip Curl kungsberget slopestyle

This weekend It was time for the first qualification contest "Piststilen by Rip Curl" in Kungsberget!
The winner in each category got a ticket direct to the semi finals for the big final which take place in the end of may in Ramundberget!!!!

The park was good but It was so foggy so you couldn't see the jumps, the sight was clear about 10 meters before the kicker!
Everybody was there and we had a fun time during the day. we had also a BBQ in the park :)

Chilinvitational TTR1 Comp

Yeah!
Matilda and I were at The TTR Slopestyle comp "Chilinvitational" this weekend in Gesunda/ Sweden.
We drove early in da morning on saturday with "Black Diamond" for having a fun day in the park of Gesunda. The weather was not what we expected, It was -17 degrees and stormy. It was really hard to get over the jumps during the hole day.
It was a shame cause the park was really fun: 2 jumps, an up-straight-up box with drop and in the end a spine!
Matilda and I had a fun day anyway with good results at the end!

How long have you been riding? Been riding skiis since i was 2 years old but change to snowboard at an age of 12.

What type of riding do you prefer: I like the three p's; pow, park and pipe. I like almost everything in the slopes!

Worst snowboardrelated injury: Which one do you want me to tell you about? One of the worst was last season when i fell in the pipe and got unconscious, i had to wear a neckbrace for 2 weeks. That sucked!

Other interest: Playing the guitar, photography, listen to hardcore music, go to concerts and driving a fork lift.

Favourite phrase: It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

When you not snowboarding, what do you work with:

I have been working as a forklift driver at DHL's wine and spirits storage but at the moment I just chillin.

A secret about myself: I sleep like kickboxer, one time I hit a friend when I was sleeping.

The question you might ask now is who are the girls in Dropin46, well I'm one of them. I'm the oldest, but also the wisest of them all ;)

I'm originally from Gävle in Sweden but I now live in the French alps. I work part time as teacher in Geneva which gives me lots of time to ride. My home resort is Avoriaz and I spend most of my days riding pipe.....since I'm a true pipe rat and proud of it.

This it were it all begins..

This is the new blog of a new Swedish all-girls snowboard team.

Anna, Lina, Vickie & Lollo are currently hitting the french alps in Avoriaz, meanwhile Matilda & Jessica are back in Kläppen, Swe representing.
